This was a wedding we were counting down the days for! I went to high school with Jason and had the pleasure of meeting Nikki at our bridal event Celebrate Your Yes––they are both so kind, fun-loving, and not to mention they have the cutest fur baby! Long story short, I thought right away they were perfect for one another.
Come wedding day we started the day off at Iron Horse Hotel–-which is one of our all-time favorite getting ready spots for couples! The girls were welcomed with a big bottle of champange and there was SO much laughing and smiling. I connected with them so quickly and knew they would be a blast to hangout with for the day. Mike was on the other side of the connecting door with the boys and we could hear they were having just as much fun as we were!
Jason and Nikki’s first look on the patio of Iron Horse was STUNNING! They were surrounded by colorful floral and modern decor––but it’s no surprise that’s not what you focus on in the photos. They are so great together, it’s effortless, and you can feel the love just by looking at the pictures. Jason is always making Nikki smile and laugh and the great thing is she does the same for him. We love having couples that are as fun, loving, and ‘chill’ as them––it’s like we were all just hanging out as friends and for a moment it felt more like we were all just hanging out––and there happened to be a wedding dress, tux, and a bridal bouquet. We love having that connection with our couples!
After the first look we headed down to the river for bridal party photos. It was no surprise that the whole time bridal party was in great spirits and were ready to help Nikki and Jason enjoy their day. And let’s talk weather! Oh. My. GOSH. Mike and I both looked at each other several times and said, “This weather is absolutely INSANE.” There was the perfect overcast, mid 70’s, no wind––seriously the most perfect weather we have had for a wedding all summer.
Walking into their reception venue the first thing you noticed was the ceiling drapery and twinkling lights everywhere. As usual, Sound by Design did a great job! Their cupcake tower and table favors were also a very cute touch. Followed by touching and humorous speeches and A LOT of dancing.
We are so honored to have been a part of Nikki and Jason’s special day and are so excited to share some highlights of their day with all of you!
